Whilst sorting van out yesterday I stepped onto shower tray and heard a slow cracking noise and around the plug hole has gone brittle and cracked and come away.

Can anyone tell me where about I would even start to look for a replacement shower tray ?
It's a Renault master 2006 devon.
Tried looking on thier website but not helpful really.

Thanks in advance x

I had this problem in my last van, fortunately the dealer replaced the tray under warranty.
He told me that it is possible to get them repaired.
Look at Amazon " Plastic shower tray repair kit "
I guess others are available.

The problem is caused by poor support under the tray, any movement will put a lot of strain on the plastic.

If your van is old then it could be the plastic has become brittle so not worth trying to repair.

Give them a call and ask to speak to Chris the owner. They might well have one or can advise you who made the trays for them.

Go see Anton at A W motorhome bumpers he can fix or make and repair anything on a motorhome just call in ask his advise he fixed my side skirt and rear bumper he also made Colin a new bathroom sink he is near you on Canvey Island.
Anton made us a new shower tray and sink for our 2002 Hymer, he also made a new panel for under one of the bathroom mirrors, all these had cracked or split and the new ones in fibreglass are much stronger, I would highly recommend them

I had this exact problem in an old Swift. I attempted a repair by using Sikaflex to bond the weakened area and smoothed as best I could with a cloth dampened with white spirit. I then took the Bathroom cabinet door to B&Q paint match and got a high gloss paint. It was hardly an invisible repair but it held together OK and given the overall (not great) condition of the Van wasn’t out of place.

Just an idea for you.....

Slimming world?

Have a look on Magnum website, cos I would think they use 'off the shelf' rather than special build. Also worth checking the support under tbe tray to make sure it can't flex before installing a replacement. (Don't try repairing it in place, cos if it is flexing it will only crack again)

Speedcoat repair is your other option

Channa

Yes my shower tray had a hairline crack in it above the waterline when I went to look at it with a view to buy and they ( the place I was buying it from ) had the whole floor and shower tray done with speedcoat 15 year guarantee.

Edina ... ya cheeky bugger !! 😂
In my defence it's always been a bit brittle and should of got the dealers to do under the warranty !! But been to busy having a great time and just ignored the problem.

I think it's beyond a repair Jobbie and needs the tray replacing
I think the guy others have mentioned in hayling island is my best bet and probably worth a trip.

Is it likely to be costly ?

These are the panels they made for mine

The panel under the mirror was not included in the quote they gave me but he noticed it was starting to crack so they replaced that one as well but still stuck to the quote, I think their price was good because they fitted them as well which is not a simple job on a Hymer bathroom

@Herbenny
Did you get the shower tray problem fixed and , if so, how/cost? I have a 54 plate devon monaco with the same problem. Thanks.
