Tiffin Motorhomes was founded in September 1972 by Bob Tiffin in Red Bay, Alabama. The Tiffin family's connection to the industry began in 1941 when Bob's father Alex started Tiffin Supply Company. Bob became interested in RVs while supplying materials to a local manufacturer — when that company closed, he launched Tiffin Motorhomes.
The first model produced was the Allegro in 1972, which became a legendary American motorhome name. Over five decades, Tiffin built a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and construction quality, with manufacturing facilities in Red Bay, Winfield (Alabama), Belmont and Burnsville (Mississippi).
In December 2020, Tiffin was acquired by Thor Industries for $300 million. Despite Thor's ownership, three generations of the Tiffin family continue to run daily operations, with Leigh Tiffin (Bob's grandson) serving as President.

Specialist American RV importers may offer their own warranty packages. Independent comprehensive warranty is essential for UK owners of imported Tiffin motorhomes.
When buying a used Tiffin Motorhomes, look for a dealer that offers an independent warranty backed by a provider like the RAC. This means your warranty remains valid even if the dealer ceases trading. OakTree Motorhomes offer up to three years of RAC-backed warranty, covering the average ownership period.
