Giottiline is a Tuscan motorhome manufacturer within the Rapido Group, known for elegant Italian design and innovative layouts. Born in Tuscany and backed by one of Europe's leading motorhome groups, Giottiline covers the full range from compact campervans to A-class motorhomes.

The current range includes:

The Siena — coachbuilt and low-profile models ideal for families and groups, with spacious interiors and high-quality finishes. Multiple layout options from 6m to 7.5m.

The Toscan — replacing the Therry as the flagship line, featuring modern, refined low-profile vehicles for premium touring.

The GiottiVan — compact campervans for free spirits, with every inch designed for functionality and comfort in a dynamic, contemporary style.

The GiottiCompact — new for 2026, redefining compact motorhome possibilities for travellers who value agility without sacrificing comfort.

Ownership history

Giottiline was founded by the Giotti family in 2004, just south of Florence in Tuscany, Italy. The company began producing luxury motorhomes featuring elegant designs, high-quality interiors and innovative layouts with a touch of pure Italian tradition and flair.

The Therry range of low-profile and coachbuilt vehicles, along with the G-Line motorhome, established the company in the luxury market segment between 2007 and 2012. In 2012, Giottiline launched the G-Line range whose A-class models featured fully inbuilt drop-down beds.

In 2014, Giottiline was acquired by PLA, and in 2016 both companies were acquired by the Rapido Group. Under Rapido ownership, Giottiline has received significant investment and technology transfer, while maintaining its distinctive Tuscan design character.

Now part of the Rapido Group with over 100 European sales and service points, Giottiline represents a combination of Italian design, European technology and artisan passion.

What Giottiline is known for

Tuscan design heritage — born in the heart of Italian motorhome country near Florence, Giottiline brings genuine Tuscan craftsmanship and design flair to every model.

Rapido Group backing — since 2016, Giottiline benefits from one of Europe's most respected motorhome groups' engineering, quality standards and distribution network.

Italian elegance at mid-range prices — Giottiline occupies a sweet spot between budget Italian brands and premium German manufacturers, offering Italian style at accessible pricing.

Growing UK presence — with dealers including Brownhills, Wandahome and Yourstyle Leisure, Giottiline is building genuine UK market presence.

Why people choose Giottiline

If you want Italian design with Rapido Group quality — Giottiline combines Tuscan craftsmanship with French engineering excellence.

If you want a family motorhome with style — the Siena range offers generous family accommodation with Italian design that rises above utilitarian alternatives.

If you want a compact Italian campervan — the GiottiVan and new GiottiCompact offer compact touring with genuine style.

What to watch out for

Relatively young brand — founded in 2004, Giottiline lacks the heritage depth of long-established Italian brands.

Limited UK dealer network — while growing, UK representation is still being established.

Brand awareness — Giottiline is not yet well-known among UK buyers, potentially affecting resale values.

Multiple ownership transitions — from family to PLA to Rapido within a decade may have created some inconsistency across production eras.

What to check when buying a used Giottiline

Identify production era — pre-PLA, PLA-era or Rapido-era. Each may have different quality characteristics.

Check the base vehicle — on Fiat Ducato: cam belt, clutch, gearbox as standard.

Conduct thorough damp check — check all walls, windows, doors and rooflights.

Test all systems — heating, water, fridge, electrical circuits through a complete cycle.

Pre-purchase checklist
  • Identify production era and ownership period
  • Check base vehicle platform
  • On Fiat check cam belt replacement history
  • Test clutch operation and gearbox condition
  • Conduct comprehensive damp check with meter
  • Check all window and door seals
  • Inspect around rooflights for water ingress
  • Test heating system to full temperature
  • Test water system hot and cold
  • Run fridge on all modes
  • Test all 12V and 240V circuits
  • Check leisure battery condition
  • Inspect interior fittings and furniture
  • Check drop-down bed mechanism if A-class
  • Verify habitation service history
  • Check bodywork condition
  • Inspect for any delamination
  • Check overcab area if coachbuilt
  • Check current MOT and advisory history
  • Test drive for mechanical condition
Warranty advice

Giottiline provides manufacturer warranty through the Rapido Group dealer network. Post-2016 models benefit from Rapido's quality standards and support infrastructure.

An independent warranty backed by the RAC is recommended for used Giottiline purchases.

OakTree Motorhomes offer up to three years of RAC-backed warranty, providing peace of mind on an Italian motorhome.

Dealer warranty

When buying a used Giottiline, look for a dealer that offers an independent warranty backed by a provider like the RAC. This means your warranty remains valid even if the dealer ceases trading. OakTree Motorhomes offer up to three years of RAC-backed warranty, covering the average ownership period.
