Concorde is the pinnacle of European luxury motorhome manufacturing. Often described as producing "land yachts," Concorde creates vehicles that represent the absolute ceiling of what is possible in a self-propelled recreational vehicle. With prices starting from around €160,000 and reaching well over €400,000, these are motorhomes for buyers who accept no compromise.
The range spans several model families, each representing a different interpretation of luxury:
The Carver — combining stylish elegance with a powerful, sporty appearance. Seven layout variants offer configurations from compact luxury to expansive touring accommodation.
The Charisma — the classic "land yacht" and the model that defined the Concorde brand. An industry style leader for luxury motorhomes, the Charisma embodies advanced design, intelligent technology and uncompromising comfort.
The Liner — the ultimate expression of luxury motorhoming. With models up to 11.3 metres and the most lavish interiors in the industry, the Liner offers tailor-made solutions for the most discerning customers.
The Cruiser — maintaining Concorde's alcove tradition on Iveco chassis, combining proven technology with comfortable equipment.
The Centurion — Concorde's newest and largest model, the high-end flagship that represents the absolute zenith of the range.
Every Concorde is built with hours of skilled manual labour, using first-class materials and an uncompromising attention to detail that is immediately apparent from the moment you step inside.
Concorde was founded in 1981 by Helmut Reimann, a recognised pioneer in the German caravanning industry. Reimann purchased a factory from Tabbert GmbH in Aschbach (Schlüsselfeld district) near Würzburg, initially operating as SKW GmbH (Schlüsselfelder Kunststoffwerk) producing plastic components and supplier parts.
The company began building exhibition and custom trailers before transitioning into motorhome production. Reimann's vision was to create the finest motorhomes in Germany, with no compromise on quality, materials or craftsmanship.
In 1997, Concorde presented its first fully integrated motorhome, and in 1999 introduced the Concept and Charisma models on the new Iveco Daily platform. That same year, Reimann stepped back from daily operations, having achieved his goal of making Concorde the most important German premium manufacturer of motorhomes.
Tragically, founder Helmut Reimann died in an accident in 2004. However, the company he built continues to thrive, now recognised as Europe's leading manufacturer of luxury motorhomes.
Concorde pioneered the Liner category with its specially designed dashboard, and has maintained a 25+ year partnership with Iveco, celebrated with special anniversary models. Every vehicle continues to be manufactured in Aschbach-Schlüsselfeld with dedication and precision in many hours of skilled manual work.
The ultimate in luxury motorhomes — Concorde occupies the very top of the European motorhome market. The quality of materials, craftsmanship and attention to detail exceeds what most people believe is possible in a motorhome. These vehicles routinely feature solid surface worktops, premium leather upholstery, underfloor heating and custom-built furniture.
Pioneering the Liner category — Concorde essentially invented the luxury liner motorhome segment, with specially designed dashboards and integrated cab designs that go far beyond standard base vehicle conversions. The Liner and Centurion models set standards that competitors aspire to match.
Iveco Daily partnership — Concorde's 25+ year partnership with Iveco provides a premium base vehicle platform with rear-wheel drive, robust commercial vehicle engineering and a driving experience suited to larger, heavier luxury motorhomes.
Handcrafted German manufacturing — every Concorde is built in the original Aschbach factory with extensive manual labour. The production approach prioritises quality over volume, resulting in vehicles with a bespoke, hand-finished character.
Exceptional residual values — Concorde motorhomes hold their value remarkably well. The limited production, strong demand and enduring quality mean that well-maintained examples depreciate very slowly relative to their original price.
If you want the absolute best available — Concorde represents the pinnacle. If you've owned Hymer, Niesmann+Bischoff or Carthago and still want more, Concorde is where that journey ends. There is simply nothing better in series-production motorhomes.
If you plan to tour full-time in ultimate comfort — for couples who have retired and plan to spend months or years living in their motorhome, Concorde provides genuine residential comfort. The interior quality, space and equipment make long-term living genuinely luxurious.
If you want a vehicle that will last decades — the construction quality and materials are designed for the long term. Many Concorde motorhomes are still in excellent condition after 20+ years, testament to the build quality and the owners' care.
If resale value is important — the combination of limited production, strong demand and exceptional durability means Concorde motorhomes depreciate more slowly than almost any competitor. The cost of ownership over a long period can be surprisingly reasonable relative to the purchase price.
Extremely expensive — new Concorde motorhomes start from around €160,000 and can exceed €400,000. Even used examples command very high prices. This is firmly the domain of buyers with significant budgets.
Very large and heavy vehicles — most Concorde models are substantial motorhomes requiring a C1 or C driving licence. Models like the Liner and Centurion are over 10 metres long and can weigh 7,000kg+. This limits access to smaller roads, campsites and parking.
Minimal UK dealer support — Concorde has very limited official UK representation. Owners typically deal with European dealers or specialists, which means servicing, warranty work and parts supply may involve continental travel or specialist importers.
Iveco Daily servicing — while the Iveco platform is robust and well-suited to heavy motorhomes, the UK Iveco commercial dealer network is less convenient than Fiat or Ford for routine servicing. Some owners travel to specialist Iveco motorhome workshops.
Complex onboard systems — the sophisticated electrical, heating, water and control systems require specialist knowledge to maintain and repair. When something goes wrong, diagnosis and repair can be expensive and time-consuming.
Insurance and running costs — the high value, specialist nature and replacement cost of components mean insurance premiums and maintenance costs are correspondingly high. Budget for premium running costs to match the premium vehicle.
Buy from a specialist or knowledgeable seller — Concorde motorhomes are complex vehicles that require specialist knowledge to inspect properly. If possible, have the vehicle assessed by a Concorde specialist or the Concorde Owners Club (if available) before purchasing.
Verify the full service history — Concorde motorhomes require meticulous maintenance to preserve their value and condition. A complete service history — both habitation and base vehicle — is essential and significantly affects the vehicle's value.
Check the Iveco Daily base vehicle thoroughly — verify full service history through Iveco dealers, check for any turbocharger issues, test the braking system (important on heavy vehicles) and inspect the rear-wheel-drive components including differential and drive shafts.
Inspect the premium interior carefully — while Concorde interiors are built to last, check solid surface worktops for cracks, leather upholstery for wear or damage, and all custom-built furniture for proper operation. Repairs to premium materials carry premium costs.
Test all onboard systems comprehensively — run every system through a complete cycle: heating (including underfloor if fitted), air conditioning, water system, generator (if fitted), solar installation, satellite system, electrical distribution and the central control panel. Ensure you receive full documentation and user manuals.
Weigh the vehicle — verify the actual weight against the plated MTPLM and confirm remaining payload. Even luxury motorhomes must comply with weight limits, and Concorde's premium fittings add weight.
Concorde provides a comprehensive manufacturer warranty reflecting the premium pricing and quality expectations. When buying used, verify the warranty status and confirm all maintenance conditions have been met — Concorde's warranty terms require strict adherence to service schedules.
Given the very limited UK dealer presence and the specialist nature of Concorde repairs, an independent warranty can provide additional reassurance, though the coverage terms should be carefully reviewed to ensure they adequately cover the premium components found in a Concorde.
For Concorde owners, establishing a relationship with a specialist workshop — whether in the UK or on the continent — is more important than generic warranty cover. Many Concorde owners budget an annual maintenance fund rather than relying solely on warranty cover.
When buying a used Concorde, look for a dealer that offers an independent warranty backed by a provider like the RAC. This means your warranty remains valid even if the dealer ceases trading. OakTree Motorhomes offer up to three years of RAC-backed warranty, covering the average ownership period.
