Has anyone been to Zarautz in Northern Spain? My husband went on hols there 20 odd years ago and fancies stopping there on our trip.

I live 60km down the coast from Zarautz and would say that your husband will not reconize it as its changed a lot in 20 years very built up the beach is still good out of season take the coast road from San Sebastion and you will find several wild camping spots. Motorhomes allowed on the harbour at Lekeitio out of season also an aire at Bermeo all year.If you want to visit Bilbao you can stop in Algorta either in the marina or in the old port both safe spots and approx 400mtrs to the metro for Bilbao the fare is 85cents each way
