saw this sign in north wales over the weekend end on a roadside near the sea at Llandunno soz spelling lol. as im in a landrover so on v5 is nither of thease am i ok as the sign does not say overnight sleeping the sign refers to the tyoe of vehicle more than what your useing the vehicle for ?

Doesn't look very well worded to me. They may be better off prohibiting vehicles over 1.8 tonnes. Were there any lines on the road? There has to be lines and a TRO in place for it to be valid. Even if there were, I think you'd be OK in a Landrover so long as it didn't say motorcaravan as your body type on the V5.
