You always get 1 (or 8)

We spent the weekend over at Moggs Eye (near huttoft), it was a great few days, the Police even drove up each day. There must have been about 10 vans there, all friendly and lots of dogs:)

On Sunday afternoon 2 cars pulled up at the end and 8 youths got out, they then started going about putting up 4 small tents. They had their BBQ played football etc and when the Police drove up they even had a friendly chat. All was well, I think their plans may have suffered with the heavy wind and rain we had that night.

In the morning they left, unfortunately leaving rubbish everywhere. It was a mess and the annoying thing they camped right next to a bin. WHY? I did get cleared up by someone, I just hope us motor homers do not get the blame.

Do people live like that at home, would their parents allow them to leave cans and meat wrappings all around the garden?

thats half the problem

Thats half the problem - lots of these perants don't know better themselves. So kids don't see it as a problem. My mother would give me a good slapping for just thinking about dropping litter on the ground.

Its is a sorry state of affairs and lets us down!

there is a place called lantwit major near us ,and the same problem there has prompted a sighn no overnight ing to be errected lots of vans park up there, but along come the young tenting idiots and cause so much mess that everybody suffers. luckily there are many vans that have refused to stop parking there and it seems as if the local council is not stopping us mabey it works for us to defy the notices about no overnighting remember the ramblers and there mass tresspas a few years ago ,look what came of that freedom to roam , they have just locked the gate to the field where the tenters go and not stopped the vans on the carpark overnighting
