Hi All!
Went to do the Yorkshire Three Peaks on saturday in our self build motorcaravan and after driving around checking places out we pulled up in a layby just outside Horton-in-Ribbersdale (Settle side). We arrived around 11pm and stayed til around 8am with no bother at all. The car park in Horton-In Ribbersdale has overnight stay but that is only for your vehicle not for you to stay in it. The parking is a reasonable price if you want to do the Three Peaks, but I will say this "Its not for the fainthearted!!". We ended up starting the ascent on Ingleborough at around 6.30pm in the dark and the moon guided us down the other side arriving back at the car park at 10.20pm!!!! "NEVER AGAIN!!!!!". Its now wednesday and my legs are still not right, they are worse than when i did Ben Nevis and Scarfell Pike )from Langdale valley)!!!! Definately one to tick off the list as done and never to be repeated!!!
