I found it a tough year weather wise:
March: 10 days in Madeira with rain and thunderstorms.
May: 3 weeks in Alsace, France with rain on many days.
June: 4 week trip lakes and N Yorkshire with rain most days.
August: 4 week trip to Hereford/ Worcestershire area, rain on most days!!!!

And if you want to escape like those who go to Morocco for the winter I have just been reading about the severe flooding in the north that has killed up to 30!!
Yikes!!!

Yep its been a bit of a naff summer. Best we had was 10 days in the Lake District (The very last trip in our old van) earlier in the summer / late spring and it was fabulous. One of the best trips (albeit very short) we have ever had. Been away in the new van down the south west since early July and whilst we have had some good days we have had no heatwaves or long periods of glorious weather. Very mixed. From what I can gather most of Europe has been the same.

Opposite in Crete. Too mild a winter so insufficient snow to fill the aquifers. Summer water shortages. And no rain May to October. Heat arrived early and plants suffered.
Know where I’d rather be though! 🌞

Ditto, The Algarve.
Don't see much snow, but we've had a shortage of rainfall.
Some of the South coast resorts are looking at less than a month's reserves.
