Well that’s my trip planned for Xmas.
Leaving Boxing Day for 10 days wandering up / down the west coast of Scotland, was planning to do a visit November but knee recovery put that on hold.
Visiting Altandhu near the summer isles, Mellon Udrigle, Applecross and finally Skye to visit friends for new year.
Mainly wilding so will take extra water but will spend a night at Port a Bhaigh campsite overlooking the summer isles and 2/3 nights at Mellon Udrigle campsite.
Loads of food, full gas cylinders and water tanks plus the generator so the weather can do what it likes, cannot wait.

What have other members got planned.

Myself and the VFR1200 are booked on the Pompy-Santander ferry 22nd.Going down to Malaga for the holidays then working my way back to get the ferry on the 2nd.Will be on my own which I've never done before so will defo be different:p:p

Good bike for the trip. We're off to Lanzarote on the 22nd for our by now usual fortnight in the sun.

Booked onto the tunnel for Sunday afternoon and coming back for the new year

We are booked into a site a mile down the road as from mid January due to major renovations to the house lasting 12 weeks. I am project managing the work so need to stick around.
Envious of you guys who are travelling further afield. Enjoy.

Portsmouth Santander 19th Jan for seven weeks down to seville turn right to algrave for few weeks then retrace our route back to andalucia for the rest. Did it for the first time last year. Exceeded all expectations,

Up to Glasgow tonight to bring the van back to London asap. After Christmas hoping to get to Hereford for New Year, dependant though on my daughter’# condition.

We're off in the new motorhome to the south west coast of Wales after breaking first night at Nant y Moch....

Two weeks of bimbling await.

Staying home for friends and family Christmas.
Off 28th for easy drive to the Alps for 2 months skiing, snowshoeing and generally playing in the snow.
Can't wait!

I wonder what it would be like to spend a winter in the warm?

Too busy with the cottage for trips in the van yet.
The only MH plan we have is to drive up to the Rotherwas Trading Estate in Hereford for a bit of manoeuvring practice between Christmas & New Year.
:danger:
You have been warned.
:scared:

The decorator is painting our hallway in January and me, being a coward, can't face his wrath when the dog rubs up against his gloss paint so I'll go away while he's about. It could be a long trip as he reckoned on a week to do the front this year and took four. He's estimated two weeks for this job.

I hope you`re paying him for the job and not by the hour :scared:

Is there a football pitch sized open space there for you to have a go in :rolleyes2:

Heading north to Stonehaven on the 28th to buy our New Year roast from McHardies in the square then wilding for four nights. Fireballs of course on the 31st followed by a few drams in the forrest.

Me and the mutt are heading to Wales for the winter,no idea where as I've not been there before but looking at the west/south west coast and wherever the road takes us. If anyone knows a cheap campsite over that way? then I might park for a month while I continue with my conversion.
