Two nights at Usha gap in Muker.... (site all to ourselves with fantastic heated amenities block) at side of a loverly beck....

Headed off this morning via Tan Hill Inn to Nenthead (nice quiet spot at Nenthead Mines carpark.... Toilets seconds walk away with good pub over road as our usual spot on the tops was VERY snowbound)

Onwards to Kielder tomorrow all being well....









 
Try The Anglers Arms at Kielder, Chris Whaley welcomes wild campers and even has free leccy. Post code NE48 1ER, they do great proper food too. It's in Brit Stops and I believe that it's in our poi list under pub stops

Cheers for the heads up chap.... We will have a looksy if we get chance....
Got heads up on merc Vario up that way so working on the other half to convince her it needs looking at whilst we're up there ;-)
 
If you are coming back down a similar way call in at High Force water will be thundering down there now. Shame to miss it you are above there now but not too far.

Passed it on the way over to Nenthead.... Impressive AND for a change deserted of people.

Check the weather before venturing up Teesdale as I stopover up there frequently usually at Cowgreen and have had a few close calls with snow when it has been ok everywhere else.
 
Cracking peaceful night in one of my fave spots (usually park here to spend many hours underground in the, Old lead mine workings...
Barely seen a soul since landing last night...










 
Tucked up (melting) in the Anglers arms now waiting for my Kielder cobbler to arrive....
After a night at a CS close to Hexham... And a wander close to Vindolander roman Fort (what did they ever do for us?) 20171228_143947.jpg

Snowed in now at the Anglers..... Ohhhh dear what are we going to do...

Last night well away from the maddening crowds near to Caldbeck in the Lake District....






Sadly wending our way home now (to prepare for next trip away lol)
