hi everyone i'm new to this site. i really fancy trying some wild campinig but can you people offer some does and don't, i'm off to take the kids to flamingo land and thought of camping around malton/pickering for one night but not sure how to carry on. i,ve got a classic vw camper which is my pj and dont fancy it being targeted by morons, so any advise is apprieciated thanks

I would recommend converting your poi file to Google Earth .kml and studying the locations you might use on Google earth. Our recent experience has been to avoid drive-through and roadside lay-byes wherever possible because you will at some time be woken by a nutter in the middle of the night! Where possible we use the locations at the end of quiet lanes or on remote locations on the coast, oh and be ready to drive-off at any time if needed. We have also added Albus and Heosafe locks to our 'van, but that was mainly for european use. BBe security conscious without being paranoid and good luck, we have found some stunning locations - all to ourselves!
