I KNOW A LOT OF HAVE NOT HAD ANY WHITE STUFF ( BUT )
having just spent 2 hours with a hamer and tyre lever getting rid of 3 inches of packed ice off the drive ( AND ITS NOT THAT LONG ) no wise cracks
Just wondered how the rest of you are getting on ?
We have just got rid of 18" of snow of the top of our beloved van and they say from wednesday onwards we are in for another lot

We have had almost as much as you up here. I get out with my home made snow shovel and clear it as soon as it falls. It is much easier to shift (as you have just found out:D).

I was getting a bit worried about the motorhome and conservatory so I made up a long handled snow shovel. I cut a square of thin plywood and screwed it to a length of slaters lath and it worked a treat. It took me an hour to get rid of the bulk of the snow off the m/home but it is a big roof. :D I started getting worried when someone on another forum said that their plastic roof was starting to bend in the middle.

looks like the west is due for deep snow this weekend according to the weather forcast

Porthtowan, Cornwall today +7, Wed:+7 Thur:+6 Fri: ?? Nights -1 to 0. Expected a flutter of snow for Friday. Have fun you folks up North. I hope and pray your homes and MH's are safe.

winter ?

First snow yesterday, approx 3" ,but melting today, temperature dropped to 2/4c,last week it was 15c ! ? but weather front changed directionand is coming down from Russia (I'm in Bulgaria) on the weather front ....its bad in Egypt !! with flooding, high winds and low,low temps etc
We (Bulgaria) usually get around 3' to 10' of snow from end of December on (depending in which part of country)lasting till Feruary/March (off and on) tempdown as low as -25c in some parts for a week or so..... in january.
April comes and is totally different with temps rising from 20+ c,peaking at 35c ish till Oct/Nov.

From Shetland with Xmas greetings

In this far Northern outpost of the British isles we have been getting snow blizzards on and off all day plus below freezing temperatures and wind chill that certainly bites, and the bad news for you lot south is that its heading your way
Merry Xmas

The Island came to a stand still today heavy snow over night and our beautiful Island is covered. Been out and about this morning (in our Terrano) and got our shopping and supplies. We are off up to Scotland Thursday so I have been getting a bit of practice driving around in the snow. Had the same problem in Scotland with the snow but managed to get from place to place hope its the same this year...

hi everyone
here in North Wales, Snowdonia we have had around 10/12 inches over the last two days.
the mountains will have had a lot more but from they look fantastic, temperatures set to drop to -7 tonight according to the forcast, I like others on the site try to clear the snow before it freezes, much easier to shift.

Happy Christmas

at last we have snow , 6" but up to near a foot in places . got our basic xmas delivery of grub yesterday do the rest later , and had to help the van out of the snow ,least i could do.
got a decent amount again last night ,the dog ha ha loves it but in places its deeper than he is high so he keeps disapearing in the deeper snow , feel sorry for his low slung undercarrage .

Here in South Wales, near Merthyr Tydfil we have had over a foot in our back yard, although we have a 4ft drift in the corner. I was out paragliding today and although most of it was also a foot or so deep, I found one bit that was waist deep!!;)
