Windows

I've splashed out and bought a second hand Transit SWB (56) Med roof. It has no windows and would appreciate any advice on what to have fitted (no way am I attacking it myself!). It will only be a part-time motorhome, being mostly a general purpose mode of transport. Is security compromised using double glazed units? Which are the best? Are Ford standard windows going to be really cold and condensation-prone in winter?

whats your location mike? or how far are you prepared to travel?

i know of two placesin b'ham that can sort you out!! drive in drive out!you can buy windows yourself and fit them no problems as they fit from the outside and you screwfrom the inside!!! or you could purchase some windows cheaply from a breakers yard and fit yourself!(make sure they from a tranny if you nervous lol)remember measure twiceand cut once! ifyou under cut then you can remove excess if you take too much out then you gotta find a way to add, you could buy a second hand sliding door with a window already in and put a couple of skylights in!!very easy to fit!!

Thanks for the encouragement and the sound advice.....wise words "measure twice..." How many times have I ignored that one! I've sourced a couple of places locally who'll fit Ford windows. Still not sure whether to go double glazing though.

are you insulating the rest of the van? id get the double glazed ones n some decent insulation,;)
