Will the new Snoopers charter announced by the government be an invasion of privicy?

Is it an excuse to snoop on criminals or snoop on everybody?

This will be misused.

We have to get out of places like Facebook and on to peer to peer platforms where the information about you is not stored on central servers. Also what is known as the dark net. These terms will become increasingly familiar as misuse of the current social networks becomes more common.
