wilding in thirsk area

gonna be heading down south Tuesday late noon early evening,looking for suggestion to wild around thirsk on a1 route or theres about any help please tah!

at easter , we stopped a night in the car park at the top of Sutton Bank (outside Thirsk) and enjoyed a lovely quiet night

In Thirsk, take the lane that goes up the side of Lidl, so far along on the left there is a car park which is used for horseboxes etc on race days - think it's opposite Cemetery Road(?) I'll check that and get back. Very quiet spot, anyway.

PS Yes, the road next to Lidl is called Newsham Road, and it takes you past the back of the Caravan Club site, about 1 mile all told at most.

marydot that's very kind of you to go to the trouble much appreciated.b4 I had the hymer we had a bongo and am still a member of that club which is good and to be honest I didn't think wild camping would be as good but its proven so far to be even better .keep up the great work
