Hi all, Has anyone been to Sweden with a camper, and is it easy to wild camp? Does anyone know the legal implications? I'm heading up that way next week.

We have wild camped in all Scandinavian countries, no problems. There are a lot of picnic spots with water and toilet emptying facilities. There are a few aires, either free or a small charge.

There are plenty of places without any problems. We were there in April, there was still a lot of snow about (and falling), so many of the spots on WEBSITE BLOCKED BY ADMIN for example are just not accessible because the snow plough’s don’t clear them. We still found enough wild camping, but supplemented them with ABC petrol stations. Lots of them have areas (some barriered) with hook up, some also have showers, they range in price from £5 to about £10/night, they usually serve food too.

Many thanks for all your comments, most useful. I do have some of the Apps, and have installed some more now. Looking forward to getting out there in a few dats time.

Let us know your travelled route (approx.) Incl ferries etc. Its a place I would like to visit so something to whet my appetite...
K ;)
