Hi asabrush,

We wildcamp with my 5 year old daughter and 5 month old (or young) son. It is great to get them away at the weekends and my daughter loves it. We dont always go far but anywhere is novel to young kids :)

Hiya Asabrush.

I nearly always take a couple of kids with me for company (6 grandbairns to choose from) however the wife,Christine, is not too sure about wilding:(

Just decide when you find a sleepyspot whether it feels right using your instincts and If It,s safe for you then It,s safe for the kids;).

The kids will love the adventure, especially the small camp fire when it gets dark, and the fresh air will do them the world of good:)

Go for It:cool:

many many times
if your kids /grandchildren have the same mentality as you they will enjoy themselves and also enjoy the freedom rather than the restrictions of a site or home

It may sound like me blowing my own trumpet but I have 5 grown up kids, and I,m often being commended at how pleasant and well mannered they all are.
I put this down to the many nights we,ve spent together under canvas or caravanning and motorhoming together as a family without the distractions of life at home (TV, PCs etc.), and the many hours we,ve had time to talk to each other as a family.

Camping with your kids is Quality time whether it be Wilding or on sites.

I,d like to think that when I get old and decrepid, the kids will take me along..
