Wildcamping Wimbledon

Hi,

I am going down to London tomorrow, and Wimbledon is right in the middle of my meetings.

Has anyone wild-camped on the Common recently - I have seen the Causeway listed in the wildcamping section, but that post is nearly 5 years old.

I am going to try it out anyway.

Hi

Just to update the thread - I didn't stay on the Common in the end, as my next day appointment was moved to 08:30 so I parked up on the street in NW1, not far from Regents Park. Had a very quite night.

I did drive past the common and there were a couple of Motorhomes parked up during the day, but don't know if they stayed overnight.

I've camped on the pavements of Wimbledon about 6 times queuing for tickets! Have always managed to get centre or no1 court on the day. We used to leave the car nearby so we could go in it if it rained and still maintain our place in the queue, but parking has got worse and worse round there like most other areas of London.
