Wildcamping keeps wanting more storage

Is there a reason Wildcamping Keeps wanting more and more storage on my phone...now says it wants 2.7GB?
 
Can you have a look and see how much space safari is using?
Normally it only asks once for space.
The entire app and all the poi data is less 10 mb
 
Ok, let me look into it.

The app will cache map data from Google which is the only thing that has any real size. The cache is cleared every day. Have you been using the app a lot today?
 
Ok, can you see if it does it again? Although IOS is asking for space if the app needs it, the app is not actually using it.
