Wild Xmas?

How many of us are lucky (?)enough to be in our campers/motorhomes over the Christmas period?
I'm at home again this year which is a bonus really!

Wild Christmas

Appointment on mainland Scotland Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so will be camping in between overlooking the Glenshiel Ridge and Loch Duich.

Under my van over the hols Whoo hoo its Mot time whooo hooo
its my daily driver so has to be done , but might hit Malham on the last weekend.

At home for Xmas, but will be in van in scotland for new year. Can't wait!!

Weather forecast. 9 c in Edinburgh. 0c in London and cold in between. I am in Notts & it's cold & very foggy. I was booked for Xmas in Wales but the operation put paid to that thank goodness. I wouldn't fancy the drive from here to there. By the way, the campsite(which I will happily name if pressed) gave me a full refund.

Can I ask which part of the principality you were going to visit?

Camping at home

Virg, don't need to see the MH. From tomorrow night my second half and myself will be crashing out in the MH for a week, as our boys are coming over with their families for Christmas. Adults in our bedroom, kids in the spare bedroom and on the lounge floor, us in the MH. Don't trust the kids in the MH, they will wreck the place mucking around. And won't cost us a cent until the electric and gas bills come.

Any room at the inn?

Will you get the turkey in the oven in the MH? ;¬)

Turkey

I see we have crossed paths after quite a while. Good to know you are still around. Nope, I don't have an oven in the MH but do have one in the house kitchen (now, that's something) Ann and myself send our best wishes to Shropshire. Have a nice one with your family.

Sleeps....

Thanks for that! Shropshire looks as good as anywhere else in this fog!

According to my littlest one (5yr old) there are 3 sleeps until Santa has delivered the presents. My poor suffering wife has, this year due to my condition, had to do all the hiding of presents in the attic (for 3 littlens 10yr old & under), fetching down all the decorations, taking the kids and friends ice skating, shopping for presents (I must admit to doing more than ½ of the Xmas present shopping online, one of the things I can do sat on my backside).

We did have one slice of luck though... I purchased a bicycle for our 8 yr old daughter from a certain high street (and out of town) motor parts retailer and placed the order online for £94.99, this was on the 28/10, on the 16/11, after 3 unanswered e-mails and no delivery, I rang and requested to speak to a manager, as soon as the manager answered I explained that I was rather unhappy, to say the least as the bike was for a birthday on 19/11(tongue in cheek) and wanted to speak to their manager, I was put through to a very helpful lady who bent over backwards to assist and arranged for a bike in another local town (Hereford) to be put to one side for my long suffering wife to collect in our Espace and my debit card would be refunded £45.00! This was most acceptable, especially when on 04/12 a courier pulled up outside our house to deliver the original bike... I have since sent 2 emails to the supplier requesting collection of the bike but no answer at all (Ah well) ! I now have a bike ready for our 8 yr old daughter for Xmas and another one hidden in the garage ready for our 5 yr old daughter in three years time, all for £49.99! ... One happy chappy! :¬)

Hi Virgil. A place called Saint Harmon in Powys I think. Lovely part of the world IF the weather is kind.

Father Christmas

Virg, Who says there is no Father Christmas!!!! He works in mysterious ways.
Good for you. Merry Christmas

As usual there are no end of family visits planned, but I can't have nine days off work and not escape for a few nights in the MH. I'll probably end up somewhere up Arkengarthdale in the fog! (Opposite Tan Hill Inn is a great spot).

Merry Christmas

Our first ever Christmas in England since 1972. On that note, Ann and myself wish each and everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Spent Christmas at local pub, Hook up + showers free entertainment £8 Per night.
Not too far to crawl home, but it got a bit chilly as I left a vent open for Father Christmas!

New Year Greetings

Wishing all MH buddies, a prosperous New Year and that you have as much fun in 2007, where ever your travels take you. My apprecition to all you guys for your advice and true tales of your journeys. Drive safely, play safe and avoid the parking tickets. Looking forward to 2007.
