Wild travel - rules and how do they apply?

Hi Everyone - we are trying to understand all the rules around camping (so we don’t break any of them!).

In the summer from experience are there many places we can find to stay without having to pay to be on an electric hookup? As from my understanding it’s against regulations or some law to park anywhere?

But would love to just find a spot - park up and wake up to that amazing lake!

Not sure there are too many places to park with electricity, if you are in the UK, but the Location App is a good place to start.
