My advice would be to become a full member and you will get access to a lot of good wildcamping spots within easy reach of East Lothian.
Unfortunately you live in one of the worst counties for wilding but if you can get across to the Trossachs or further north then you should have no problems. Northumberland has some good spots (the midges in Kielder are as bad as the Scottish ones )
Just have a look at a road atlas and find a Loch or Reservoir with a 'B' road or track alongside, use Google Earth to check it out, pack the van and head off. Do not forget the midge repellant. :have fun:
The school holidays are almost here, so you could take them a bit further (your work permitting), I am sure they would enjoy it.
I agree with Maingate, when you become a member you are able to download the POI file , make sure you have google earth on your pc, and then load the POI file onto google ,I spend hours looking at the wildcamping places as I am planning to head to the highlands this late summer. Its certainly worth the £15 cost to join. good luck and enjoy your wildcamping.:rolleyes2:
