We are having some work done at our home and the builder needed the driveway kept clear of vehicles so he could get materials in and out of the rear garden. We were scratching our heads were we could go in the motorhome, we could leave my car on my daughter's drive but had no were to stick our motorhome or my wife's car as I didn't want to leave them on the road outside our home.
I suggested that as we were having a barbecue down at the field on Saturday that we should maybe move down the motorhome to the field and stay in it, then I was close enough to keep my eye on the builders progress.
My wife had deep reservations, she was worried that we could be vulnerable been by ourselves incase there was anyone sneaking around on our land. She agreed to stay the Saturday night as the barbeque wouldn't finish to late, plus with the alcohol was flowing, we would be at ease.
Well all went well, it was lovely to wake up with dew on the field and all the wild birds taking rich the pickings, we could see the horses and pony, unfortunately so far we havent seen the wild Deer and her two babies that we have spotted before and we have also wild ducks that pay us a visit.
Well blow me down we are still here, the wife is now at total ease and loves it here, doesn't want to go home.
I can't believe we have never thought of doing this before. We even saw the spitfire plane fly over us on Sunday
