Wild camping on Mull of Kintyre - suggestions please?

Hi - we are going to Mull of Kintyre at the beginning of Sept and would like to wild camp in our (on loan and never used by us before) Hymer. Can anyone suggest a good, quiet spot, preferably near the sea and within a 1 hour drive of Claonaig? Any hints you might have that would help us, too, would be gratefully received. Many thanks.

Hi, we were in this area a few years back. The only decent place we could see to wild camp was close to Skipness. The road down the eastern side of the peninsula is very narrow and steep in places. Have a look at what I wrote about Kintyre on Virtual Tourist, if you like.
