I have been asked by quite a few members on here who do not use the rallies on our sister site about having an old time like they used to be wild camping meet. I can organise this as a gathering only, and it will probably be at Hollingworth lake rugby club, Littleborough, Lancashire, sometime next June 2023, the club does have a bar, and we will be parked on grass. I will start a Poll and if there is enough interest then I will look into organising it. Please vote if you are interested. Thanks

Ive said yes which is a bit naive as I dunno what I am saying yes to having never been to a "wild camping meet like they used to be". If it involves human sacrifice or running around naked with a bull skull on your head I might give it a swerve. Well the Human sacrifice bit at least, otherwise I'm up for anything. However it would have to be ooop North as Mrs D wont go and im not really allowed out of Yorkshire, Cumbria or Durham on my own.

Add us …….hopefully we will be about.
This is not a definite yet, I need to have enough interest before I decide to get the ball rolling and book the venue. Just to clarify, if it does happen then this will be a ONE OFF EVENT and never to happen again, so if you are interested please vote on the poll at the top of this page

I organised a music meet at Croft Workingmen's club near Darlington in 2014. It looks pretty grim on the photo on search for sites but back then they had a field behind the grubby car park and thats where the rallies were. It was dirt cheap as well and had the added bonus of having a large events function room and a kitchen we took over which meant if it was too cold to play outside we could play inside. Think Phoenix nights and you wont be far wrong.

I say I organised it which is rubbish really. I started it all off but Scotty the rally coordinator on MH Facts and his wife took it over really and Makem Mike who was a proper Musician took over all the muso stuff. It was a fantastic weekend. If its still going with the rally field it would make a great north east venue. Right by the River, a couple of miles from Darlo and Croft is lovely. Lewis Carroll is buried there.

I’m in, I get nostalgic about the old WC meets run by the likes of MORGANTHEMOON etc. some degenerated into out & out piss-ups.
The meetings on the sister site don’t appeal, I imagine a CC or C&CC rally type gathering on there, I may be wrong.

That looks good.
