Wild camping in winter

Do you find that during the winter months,it easy to park up for the night.Even if you may be there longer, due to the dark nights.

If you have a unheated van as I have , you tend to leave it till late and sleep in till late
dont want to leave the cozy confines of my sleeping bag :)

winter

just back from 5 days "wilding" in the scottish highlands. i tend to fall into the ,find a spot near a pub , that has a fire, by dark o'clock time. in the morning don't take the pyjamas off ,just drive far enough to heat the van up then get dressed and have breakfast. just watch the morning driving if it was a good night in the pub. (just about to post such a site, in the perthshire area.

Wildcamping in Winter

Hiya, Just got back from 10 days around Mull of Galloway. There are pros and cons of wildcamping in the winter.
Where do you get water and empty the loo when all the toilets are locked up till April.
Cant get your clothes or dogs dry.
Lots more mud.
Space heater keeps blowing out in the wind.
Gas bottle always need changing when its dark, wet and windy.
Good things are.
Noone else around so you can park where you like.
walking on empty beaches.
beautiful crisp mornings.
Wrapping yourself up warm and braving the elements.
Listening to the rain on the roof when you are warm in bed.
Watching the wildlife through the windows in the dark.
CANT WAIT TO GO AGAIN!
