St. Just is my favorite part of the country! I have never had a problem staying at Cape Cornwall NT carpark, but a bit of a walk back to town to the pub!

The other spot is up high on the cliffs overlooking the golf club and NT carpark. Turn left by the cricket club when approaching Cape Cornwall, access good for a moderate size coachbuilt but ground is uneven on the parking places, requiring a bit of maneuvering to get the wheels on the high spots to get level.

The town Council carpark is also OK if you like to have a drink/meal in the evening, not to busy late at night. Do a search on my posts for nearby Cot Valley another good spot.

While at Cape Cornwall Easter time I spotted a camper overnighting at what looks like old mine roads on the headland the other side of the "Sauce Bottle" (righthand side looking out to sea). Did not have time to investigate the access to this place but must have spectacular views! Anyone know this spot ????

Porlock hill is easy IF you know HOW to drive it - from the begining full throttle second or first (depending) and take the sharp corner really really wide.

Downhill - keep in 1st or 2nd depending - your engine will be screaming at redline in places, and you come down calmly, and in some cars you just nudge the brakes a coupel of times.

I reguarly come down PH with a broken trailer in for repair (I fix horseboxes and trailers) with NO brakes on the trailer. I have smelt the 'porlock aroma' which is alternately burnt brakes and roast coffee (see miles coffee website?)
