I want to extend my wifi reach with my iPad and buy a booster. Will a Solwise antenna booster ( Solwise - Wireless USB Adapter with 9dBi dipole antenna with outdoor weatherproof plastic house - Solwise Rocket ) work with an iPad. What kind of connection do I need to plug into my iPad as it doesn't have a USB? I'm confused. Do I also need to buy a USB WiFi Repeater to make it work?

I notice that Solwise booster (£19.99) is far cheaper than Motorhome WiFi booster costing £199.99. What is the difference with the technology?

Any help and advice greatly appreciated.

You need all the equipment as stated in your first paragraph. The aerial connects to the repeater and you then have created a WiFi hotspot that the iPad connects to. I use this to very good effect-

The main difference is that the Motorhome wifi packages at £159 and £199 include a 12v router pre-configured to maximise the benefit of the antenna booster. The router allows you to lock onto your chosen wifi signal and create a secure private wireless network within the motorhome. In fact the router network has a strong signal for a radius of at least 25m around the van. The other benefit is that you are not limited to one device, so all the family can log in at the same time; obviously that might degrade download speeds!! I haven't used the Solwise gear so can't offer any technical comparison in the effectiveness of the antenna.
Kind regards
Dave
