I must say that after reading this thread the willingness too help each other on this site is amazing, it's what makes the site so special and I feel privileged to be a part of it. :)

Del

Surely that's what we joined for, everyone needs a little help in their lives and if in any way they can be helped then that's what life is about, well it is in my world anyway.
This is not to decry your post in any way because we all probably need to be reminded of the worth of this site.

I agree with everything you've said but after reading that thread it reminded of why I love this site.

I'm truly grateful for the help I received when I had a trouble last week. I'm so glad I joined this site. Thanks t all who helped me and special thanks to the guy in the tractor who hauled me out. My knight in shining armor.

I wish there had been a site like this in 1967 when we had our first van lol. To us the site is very special because of the very special friends we have made all over the country, over the years, friends that we know we could call on if we ever needed anything, we have not found that with any other group we joined.

Many of you will remember our sad loss in 2014, we still look back on the lovely messages we received from our friends on here, many kind words from lots of people we had never met.

Its not just all the help you can get, or give about your vans but where you can ask a question and not get nasty sarcastic answers as happens on some other groups .

That's why this site is so special.

In my experience, this site is many things to many people. We all have our own reasons for joining but only one reason for staying. It has grown into a community, and should you need it to be, it can be your family.
You can totally immerse yourself, or you can dip in and out as you wish, but it will always be there for you
Phil has a unique style of leadership, he is a little like Marmite, you either like him or hate him, and although WC is his baby, he only ever acts in the interest of his ‘Community’.
This attitude naturally attracts well meaning folk, and the caring and concern for others spreads very quickly and I for one am proud to be a member.

This site for me is many times better than a plate of taty bread & soda socking up a nice runny egg sitting beside two bangers and slices of bacon,on second thoughts:scared: it is the bogs dollocks along with the good folk on it.
