My M/H ws 27 years old (last two of which spent in a scrap yard buried under old tyres) when I rescued it, and believed me it looked every day of it!
I used this --> Showroom Shine - the UKs best selling waterless wash and wax | Greased Lightning

Worked a treat and waterless which was handy.
Not a job I'd do too often, I think once every 27 years is about right :)

I use a good quality wax twice a year on the cab area of my van, otherwise I wash it with muc off caravan cleaner after every trip. Motorhome and Caravan Cleaner - 4x 5Litre = 20L in total - Get Muc Off Fast!: Amazon.co.uk: Sports & Outdoors
If I’m away and the van gets dirty I too find that the Greased Lightning mentioned above is really good.

Just doing my Hymer at the moment but the mottled/hammered effect sides are a pain:sad:

So how many of those did u need for a full motorhome?

Haven't done the roof yet but still got about a quarter or so of the bottle left so I reckon roughly one bottle for one filthy motorhome won't be too far out.

Once you’ve got the spray bottle you can get a bigger container and top it up, works out much cheaper Greased Lightning Showroom Shine 1 US Gallon (3.78 Litres): Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike
For a really great store with reviews for all vehicle cleaning products, you can’t beat Ultimate Finish: Car Detailing, Car Care and Cleaning Products
I think that Greased Lightning may make cleaning the Hymer ripples easier.

Got MOT this July :)

I use a PTFE polish, that I found on Ebay, twice a year and I only have to rinse it off with water the rest of the time. I'm afraid that too much rubbing may where the old girl out.

How did you find out about it?It looks sad in that corner:(

Thank you for posting the photo

Friend of mine knew I was getting restless and knew of somebody else etc etc..
It WAS a sad looking beast! First time I've ever experienced 'buyer's remorse' before even parting with the cash!
Once I got a battery on it and a blast of easystart into it, and heard the engine fire up, I knew I wanted it.
The rest, as they say, is geography.

There's not much better than Autoglym super resin polish for bringing dull paint work up to a nice shine. Then protect it with a carnauba wax. It's a labour of love and takes me a couple of days but worth it I think.

Just thought that I’d mention, when using Greased Lightning it’s vital to have lots of clean microfibre cloths. As particles of dirt are collected it would be very easy to slightly scratch paintwork if the cloth is not clean and contains scratch dirt.

You need the old trick of using a stiff piece of carpet to clean the dimpled bits use it as a scrubber it goes in the valleys and cleans to muck out,, you could use Aldi spray cleaner it is cheaper there that other outlets.
