Which sealant ?

Yesterday whilst cleaning the motorhome roof and cleaning and checking the sealant I noticed just one very small part was starting to split, there are two seams that run the full width of the roof one at the rear and one at the front.
So rather than leave it much longer I think it best to cut it out and replace.
So the question is which is going to be the best sealant to use

Use a non-setting butyl sealant. Do not use an adhesive that sets. It will eventually crack and leak, and will be impossible to remove without causing a lot of damage.

I'd be dubious about anything that says it does "bonding" as well as sealing. Silkaflex products tend to do what they claim, so if it says it bonds, it probably does.

Sikaflex 512 is what actually holds most compact slab-sided campervans together, they are made from GRP - foam - GRP panels and just stuck at the corners. It also holds the mounting pads and solar panel to the roof of my van, solid as a rock but not impossible to remove if I ever wanted to. A thin blade and a bit of careful scraping will do the trick. Truly wonderful stuff and highly recommended. When newly applied any wet overspill surplus wipes away easily with a turps rag. On no account use Silicone, it shrinks over time and will inevitably let you down.

Certainly agree about silicone. But it sounds to me as if what is needed here is a sealant, not a bond. I'm sure Slkaflex do one.
My biggest criticism of their products is that similar-looking numbers are sometimes for very different sorts of substance.
Fine for the professionals they're aimed at, but confusing for amateurs.
