Which Netbook?

Thinking of buying a netbook, our laptop is getting a bit past it's best & they aren't the most portable of things to carry around. The prices seem to be reasonable & I like the fact that many have battery life of 8 hours +. The big problem is there are just so many so has anybody got any advice on ones to buy or avoid. I am looking to spend up 250 pounds so I am not likely to get the top of the range latest one.
Is there any point in getting one with a dual boot (windows7 & android) from what I read android is more suitable for phones & many things don't work on the netbook. Quite like the Samsung N150 plus as it has a 10 hour battery. Another is the Acer Aspire they have one with a dual core processor (slightly more expensive but I'm waiting until the sales after christmas so the price might come down)
We will still take the laptop with us but it will be handy to carry a netbook when we are out for getting onto the net.

I did a fair bit of research on netbooks when looking for one for Drew's birthday. In the end I chose the Acer Aspire D260 and have not regretted my choice.

Its a great bit of kit, starts & shuts down much quicker than my laptop and battery life is far greater than said laptop too. Also seems to find wireless internet connections easier than the laptop does - if that makes sense.

Hope this helps

Bev

The Acer D260 looks a good price, can't understand how the numbering works nowadays the D255 seems to be a later version  Also they have the D255 with the Intel Atom N450 & also with the dual core N550 :confused:
Asus seemed to be one of the first in the netbook game, the ASUS Eee PC 1018P seems to be more expensive than many of the others of similar spec though at around 350 pounds , the Acer dual core D255 is 279 pounds.

In the van I usually use an Advent (computer world own brand crap) 12" screen. 12" is a good compromise in size between the netbooks and the the 15/16" widesscren lap tops which can take up a lot of table space. Only problem with it is Windows Vista, but it works well so long as I don't load it with too much.
