Which Motorhome to buy in Portugal

Have been looking for a good while now at S/H motorhomes here in Portugal mainly advertised on OLX and Custo Justo. Just wondered if any of you have had any experience with any good makes / models ones to avoid etc. We are going to initially going to use it for pottering around several days here and there to get used to it before we set off next year for several months to Italy and Croatia. It's just the two of us but may have son and mother flying out to visit us so ideally sleep 4 max. Looking for a fixed bed but something under 7m so can get into places easier if poss. Ideally we would have liked a mid. 90s Mercedes Hymer or Hobby 600 but after months of looking nothing seems to come up in price range up to 20k! as all vehicles over here are very expensive. Have thought about buying one in Uk and bringing over but then faced with having to take back after 6 months of having it here also to renew Mot every 12 months to keep everything legal here. This is my first post on the forum and I would like to say a BIG thank you All for so much useful information I have already gleaned from here in the last couple of months. We both can't wait to get out there on the road once of course we have found our ideal van :dance:
