I think that Phil had a brief experiment after the Mrs. Mossy thread, had he left it I think that he would have been proved correct.

This is not aimed at anyone in particular.

Believe it or not, I actually know what I am doing and understand forums better than most people.

If you think there is a problem, then let me know. I will then decide what to do about it.

Generally, small course adjustments work best, sharp turns or sudden stops generally mean someone gets hurt.

I took Steve's post to be a joke. However, some of the responses just made me "unhappy", can you imagine how they made Lorraine feel?

I thought this was why Lorraine didn't post for a few days which is why I posted 'welcome back' when she posted a few jokes again, turns out she was away, she has continued to post a lot since which I thought was great because that is why the competition was started I presume.

I was also singled out but I reacted differently, I didn't take offence because everyone is entitled to their opinion but there was a few other posts complaining so decided not to post jokes again, I am not throwing my toys out of the pram it is simply down to a couple of reasons
1. it isn't the first time someone has complained about me posting too many jokes and the last time there wasn't even a competition on and I decided then that the next time I would stop
2. I am going through too much in my personal life to worry about anything else so just posting something non confrontational is better for me at this time.

Poor state of affairs when a joke is deemed confrontational, your sort of jokes anyway. However, hopefully Phil can 'tidy it all up a bit' so we get love peace and harmony again. He must have the patience of a saint putting up with us lot bickering like naughty children.
 
Ooh well what have I missed again! :rolleyes2: anyway I’ve had a hell of a weekend I’ve had two minor floods one was my washing machine I’m not sure if it was wreaking Annie switched it off or I turned the knob before it was finished (and no I didn’t put the lock on)!! I know I should have,the second was my roasting tin put water in on Sunday put it on top of the cooker until I opened the oven door water all over the cooker so I moved it onto the bench because I thought I had spilled some water from a pan, and yep water all over the bench and on the floor, anyway got the dinner under way and it was nearly done only Yorkshire puddings to do and there was such an almighty bang,only bliddy oven door blew,and the damn thing is just 17 months old! So they are coming out tomorrow to do what I don’t know!!
 
You should be safe for a while Jeanette, you've had a run of three problems. Bit worrying about the oven though. It's a good job no one was near it. I think I would be getting in touch with the manufacturer, see what they have to say.

I think "overposting" by some

Is a touch annoying for others

Jokes and Happy birthday messages are fine

But why not put them in a single post especially jokes to minimise "Clutter".

But I am sure there are as many differeing views on this as there are members....

So just a thought !

You cannot stop posting jokes, who doesn’t enjoy a good joke ?
And for those that don’t,no one is forcing them to read them
 
Bang on Helen.
As you get older you realise how much you have learned over the years and a lot of things aren't worth bothering about, but one thing that I have learned is that on forums, if you see something you don't like it is only one clickaway, why give yourself hassle if you don't like it don't read it, there plenty of interesting posts you can read.
