where to wild camp van in cheddar gorge

hi does anyone know anywhere we can park up for the night in or around cheddar gorge with no hassle, we respect the nature. any info would be much appreciated thanks

head up the gorge from the village,the laybys have pay signs till about halfway,i would use any layby after that.or go to burrington combe,a nice little mini gorge and park up anywhere

Yup, you should be fine up there. I've been ok parked up the top of the gorge, where the road starts levelling out.

You could also go down to the resovoir nice little parking there .
