Where in Devon and Cornwall ???

HI guys i have ditched the Teneriffe Plan this year and decided to explore more of the Uk.

We are going to Devon and Cornwall this August and would like any recomended spots.

I am a keen kitesurfer/windsurfer so if anyone has stayed near to a good spot then let me know.

I know it will be busy at this time of year but if the main tourist attractions are avoided it should be a good trip.

Any advice will bre greatly recieved.

Basset Cove near Portreath, it is a few miles up the road from Gwythian, which has 3 miles of beach and is a top spot for kites.
 
Hi,Theres widmouth bay, the turn off for it is just past bude on the A34 about 1.5miles it was about £3-50 a day parking on the beach when i lived down there, you can over night on a small car park up the hill a bit or theres a big lay-by onthe A34. I spent a week going around the cornish cost a couple of ago i had no problems finding some where to stop, then again i'm not fussy. have a good one , Bob
