Just getting ready to hop across the Channel and all the 5ltr Bottles of water seem to be missing from Supermarkets. Just rang Sainsbury’s .. Not available and no idea when or if they will be stocking them again so found a Morrisons and got the same answer.

Looks like we will have to get some in France ..

Wonder what’s going on

..

Maybe the government block bought all bottles to refill the empty reservoirs just a thought:)

I think you will find somebody somewhere will be paying for your free water.

Agreed, and if you take it without asking its stealing.

I was interesting in buying a house with a warehouse next door.

The warehouse had an outside tap on the forecourt and the owners of the warehouse got annoyed that someone used to regularly turn up with a water carrier and take the water without asking.

Water is expensive as I found out the other year when I forgot to turn the outside tap off before we went away. It had the hose connected so in theory it should have been ok but the hose connector came off and the tap kept running.

When we got home the decking was green so had been running for a considerable time. Our neighbour mentioned that she heard it running when she went outside but did nothing about it :mad2:

Water bill was just over £600 about £450 more than usual. I did ring the water company and because it had gone on the garden and not down the drain got it reduced.

I have never ever ever ever ever stole any body's water, and I would like an apology please, to make sutch an accusation with knowing the facts, is an insult. I always ask before taking, garages can say NO even in cemeteries I find a groundsman who can also say NO.

Nowt to do with me but Harrow did not make any accusation in his statement, he said if you don’t ask. Maybe get a cuppa and relax then read again?

Lots of posts on the forum are generic points rather than aimed at an individual, the statement may be correct and may help another reader

Try reading the post again and you will see there is no aaccusation that you did steal water. Maybe you need to be there the one to apologise.
