When wilding?

So do you guys get all the picka nicka tables & chairs out & have a good old barby or what?

I'm going wilding for the 1st time in my new camper & I'm stopping off in a campsite for the 1st night - just to get aqainted with all the bits & bobs of a new van.

But having never gone wild before, is it normal to just act as you would in a campsite?

As I would normally set myself up to spend as much time outdoors, relaxing, eating, drinking, reading, listening to music, playing guitar & generally hanging out with my family.

Is this all cool ala wild camping, or do I need to be more discreet/security/drink driving conscious?

When wilding you should,nt erect the awning:eek: Gazebo:eek: wind breaks etc.
but do as you posted in the last line of your post, remember ,you may have to make a sharp exit in the unlikely event that you may get hassle:(.

Anyway, Good question,well presented;), LOL:D

Up to the individual i suppose but not recommended to obstruct routes or footpaths, think there is some advice somewhere on the forum regarding tables and chairs relating in particular to Scotland where it frowned upon even to the point of using a portable step:confused:Can't see anything wrong with using outdoor furniture in a remote setting myself,Andy.

Wilding

Just enjoy yourself, and be sensible.Dont leave any signs that you have been there,be careful if drinking, just in case you have to move on.

Wilding

There are certain areas in remote parts of Scotland where You could 'camp',but generaly We park so that We are ready to leave withouthaving to leave the vehicle to put anything back in before driving off.
We have never had to leave in a hurry, but think it is easier to look as if We are just parked up rather than camping.

the French aires do not permit awnings and in my view thats a good practice that UK campers should comply with too.
