Apparently it is no longer a risky business to buy a Swift MH. Why, you may ask? I have it on good authority from the salesman at a certain Cheshire dealership, that, Swift have sorted out the seepage problems! Hurray:)
He then said "they don't seep anymore, they leak, which is better because you know where the water is getting in and you can fix it".
Well that's reassuring then???

I was going to ask him for a trade in price on the Rimor. Sod that!

Anyone who read my thread 'offers' and kindly offered all sorts of weird and wonderful things, thank you. However, the price is £25k. Search Rimor on eBay and you will see £25k is a good price.
BTW, MH is registered 2014 but on a 2013 plate.

Think this is one of the reasons they switched to SMART Construction .. It lets the water out quicker :lol-053:

And if they aren't leaking from the outside then the crap plumbing leaks on the inside !
Oh and don't forget the condensation in the uninsulated areas above the cab !
Wonder if they still shove random off cuts of plywood in the areas they need fixings?
Do they still use cable ties screwed on to hold Waste pipes , they are in my mind total piles of shite that look good as long as you don't use it !
The older ones are better built, and hold their value for some reason.

We are currently starting to look for a newish van....how old are the better ones??

About 2 weeks for a British Built one .. After that they start falling apart very quickly ..

Despite all the negative things we have heard and read we buried our heads in the sand and bought a Swift :scared::scared::scared:

Took her up to Scotland where she was subjected to some very severe wind/rain then unexpectedly baked too. Later she ventured to France, first two nights perched up on an aire in Boulogne were interesting as we caught the tail end of some huge storm that caused problems in SE England. Only had her since July and only 3800 miles so I appreciate early days yet but so far so good. No obvious leaks... everything still in place and working. I'm sure the bad reputation is not without some justification, but I've got to speak as I find and she has so far been superb with no complaints from us whatsoever :banana::banana:

Interestingly, have had more than one conversation with owners of non British vans who were not best pleased having bought on the back of good reputations.
