Hi Gary. Great post.

My count:- Commer highwayman, Bedford C.F. home biuld (not by me) and present G.M.C. Nu-Wa. 3 (beat you there) Caravans, including real nice Castleton, many years in tents and kipped in numerous vans & estate cars.
Hope you didn't think my comments where aimed at you, just because you have a new van, because they certainly weren't and I think it's great that you have been able to achieve what is obviously a long held and hardworked for ambition.

Regards Geoff.

Good post, I suppose I could say I started off by sleeping in the back of a Vauxhall Bedford HA van!! When I got married we tried a little 10ft Ace Airstream (no loo), then bought a 12' 6" Sprite.

Later in like (with a new wife) bought an Elldis Windrush, then we thought we would try MOTORHOMES!!! Bought a Talbot Autosleeper Talisman, then went for a Winnebago Warrior - complete with 7.4ltr PETROL Chevy V8... 11.3mpg!!

Went from one extreme to an other! Sold Winne' and bought a folding trailer tent... too much like hard work! Now into boats, so bought another caravan to leave nr Poole, site closed so sold 'van, Bongo & big RIB, bought a NEW Chausson motorhome, our first new anything (apart from a motorbike) and then a little inflatable so we can still play in 'puddles'.

So that's it, for any contemplating which way to go; we would NEVER go back to caravans again! (or trailer tents!).

There have been 4 or 4 motorbikes, a few cars, 2 mountain bikes and now just bought our second tandem, oh yes and we still have the scooter we bought to carry on the back of the Winne!
