what polish ?

have decided to go mad and polish the motorhome
being an A class hymer with fibreglass front the choice for that bit seems to be a specific polish for the material

but the sides / rear /roof are those flat white panels of some sandwich material ... not at all sure what the surface is ... what is it and what sort of polish ?
 
hi. i use a autosmart new image universal polish or just a trade universal polish got one here from trafalgar chemicals . buy it in 5litre cans much cheaper than half litres in accesory shops .have a word at a local car sales place . in uk autosmart do a few shows. got my ast one at a truck fest. at shepton mallet.
 
showroom shine greased lightning from ebay. easy to apply and amazing, long lasting shine. really good stuff.
 
5 Litre cans! that would only last you a couple of months, surely Alan you mean 50 Litre cans?
 
cant wait for winter. makes a very pleasant day polishing the truck in the warm sun. thinking about the snow frost and rain left behind in uk. weeeeeeee.
i like having the shinyest truck in the desert.
mind there is a nice clean merc lingering around somewhere.
kettle pot black.
lovely though touch up the stone chips tyre black the tyres and autosol the checker plate . cant beat it. may go for pin lines and scrolls soon look like a right diddykye. cheers alan
 
Alan I hate polishing, do it once a year. I wash the crate but I never sandpaper with half a bucket of dirty water, as many do when H2O is in short supply, as often is the case when wild camping.
 
i can admit to always having water to wash the truck. even thought about a pressure washer for when coming out from some pistes . have you ever seen mine dirty?
do you get your dirty cos i aint ever seen it mucky. i could say i would love to have your van best merc on the circuit. i,ll give you 50pence for it and take a chance.
make it a quid.

but is the finish on the side panels the so called gel coat like the fibreglass front panels ?

if not , what is it ?...I can't believe it is a paint type finish
