What is that smell??

I have just come back from a trip, where this disgusting smell filled the motorhome. When I say smell I had to drive home with the window open in the cab it was that bad. It wasn't the fresh water tank or the gray tank it seemed to be coming from under the bench where the water heater and leisure batteries are situated. Please help

Yep I would second that. If it's a faulty or overcharging battery it will smell slightly like sulphur with an "acidic" tinge. Had a car battery overcharge due to faulty alternator , it was a sickening smell. By the time i'd traced it the battery had started to bulge slightly.
Under the bench , engine running , and have a good sniff and look around.
Hope it 's a simple fix.

Rotten egg smell? Probably batteries

If it a sulphurous smell it could well be your batteries boiling dry which is dangerous, they could explode. When they are cool check for water level and top up but they may well be shot.
