Foraged 2nd batch of blackberries large and tasty muffins and cobbler in the oven looks like being a good year

Blackberries of course,Mussels,Cockles,Mushrooms,Damsons, Hazel Nuts and last August about 3kg of lovely sweet plums in the park round the corner from our son's house in south Manchester. Just gave the trees a shake and down they rained. Busy park and playground as well but no one bothered looking except us.

Cheers

Mixed fruits, mushrooms and some road kill, three pheasants, two rabbits and one hare, Izzy wouldn't let me put the sheep on the back seat

A road kill dear shared with my mate who's a butcher he hung it it in his dry fridge the only part we never ate were the hooves. If you’ve never tried venison sausages or burgers you’ve never lived

You shouldn't really go public about trying to get sheep on the back seat of your car Ral.

Back on topic though, I foraged a doner kebab the other night from a kebab shop of all places.

It was a Lamborghini Rob.

i completely catered my daughter's wedding with a fresh roadkill deer and still in date food from behind the local supermarkets, fed nearly 100 people , whole thing including a 2 pole circus tent cost me £15 and a bag of grass
everyone had a great time, and 30 years later they're still happily married

Raspberries and blackberries, going to make juice this year and freeze some as we still have enough jam to last until next year.

Lots of wild garlic leaves and watercress, lovely in risotto or with fish, my favourite.
Damsons, blackberries and sloes - mostly all for gin.
Periwinkles, never again, gross.
Puffball mushrooms, ok, bit boring.
Apples.
I wish I had the knowledge to do more. I definitely want to try razor clams, they sound delicious!

blackberries, wild plums, sea kale, leeks ( from around the edge of a field that had been harvested) wild rocket, water cress, apples.

I have made all my jam for this year and will soon be looking for sloes. I expect to find more apples, pears and plums going into August.

would never touch mushrooms unless you are really sure, or sea food from the shore ( can be very poisonous)

watched people catching razor clams at Oxwich Bay on the Gower, find their hole , sprinkle a bit of salt , they're not very bright and think the tide's in and pop up for a look, which is their undoing !
never tried them but i've heard they're like goose barnacles which are yummy

Is that because the groom and his family died from food poisoning? :)
