hi folks,
got back to the UK just in time for the second deluge!
should have stayed in san fransisco. if anyone goes over there DONT fly with united airlines. makes easy-jet/ryan-air seem posh. crap food and no free drinks and no seatback tv on an 11hr flight. .all the trolley dollies look like patsy (joanna lumley's character)only older! and the blokes are camper than a boyscout jamboree.sure i saw biggles in the cockpit.
got a phone call from cleveland motorhomes same day and told our new konti is ready for collection,cleaned,polished,mot'd,de-snagged and serviced so going friday afternoon to get it after i've plugged all the floor vents so it will float home . the last one from york still had tinned food in the lockers and a sock under the seat, hows that for service .
jeez this is a long week .
off to germany on the 14th july for 2weeks so it'll get a good try-out.
got so much stuff to fit, inverter, leisure battery, fire extinguiseres, tv/sat sockets (dont like omni aerials).
i hope to find some good stelplatz along the way and i'll post them on here with gps co-ordinates if i remember. just got to get insurance and change ferry booking for this van then we're all set.
nice to see you had a good time samm, nice pics.i haven't got mine on this pc yet. bet excess baggage would have cost more than wine .
