short answer;

It broke.

Long Answer;

The forum software we use (vbulletin) is about to be replaced with version 4. This new software requires a higher level of PHP (language that this software is written in) but the servers operating system (Red Hat Linux Enterpise 5) will not automatically upgrade to this version of PHP. This meant some tinkering to get it installed. This install cause many conflicts that had to be sorted out. I worked until 4am last night but I also had to do my day job, so the server was down all day.

I hope this explains more.
 
Ahhh!! and you all missed my birthday...and there was drinks for everyone .:cool:.....too late all gone :rolleyes:

Im glad its back, been over on MHfacts for a bit and they are all killing each other on there. Posts getting closed left right and centre due to aggresive and offensive remarks. At least we are rude to each other and enjoy it.

I too drifted to MHF and its like Amageddon there. Well done for all your hard work getting things back online
 
Yes i well missed this site,i have a looksy each day and was getting withdrawal symtoms,well done admin for your hard work and tinkering.

Thanks for the info, i will look into it.

I have nearly 17000 emails downloading at the moment most are from server reporting its errors. I will work throught them as fast as i can.
