What does this mean?

They do seem to have gone very weird lately, and considering the cost of the Range Rovers, why are they so unreliable?

IF I were in the market, I'd be looking at the L322, 3.6 V8 diesels, maybe a classic, but good ones are not cheap.
Daughter and son-in-law had one for a while and it was one problem after another, nothing major but one after another and nearly bankrupted them o_O

Engines with moderen oils require a good hard run to make the oil work as it should, simple starts to warm up cause problems, over 50 years working on engines and reading about oils is important to me, i have had engines round the clock 4 times and still running sweet.
You can't be driving a fiat then

Utter rubbish. Starting your engine and running it for 10-15 seconds is good for it; it circulates the oil back up to the top, but it doesn't get hot enough to make condensation. Maybe depress the clutch too, to free it off.

But taking it for a 30 minute drive is best, as it gets it all moving properly, and you should never start and leave them idling; start it and drive off is best.
