What’s going on?

Have just tried to book a site for the weekend, to try out the new van.
Every site within 60 miles of us (Durham) is booked.
Didn’t want to use a cl or wild camp until we’ve checked everything’s working.
Is there something we don’t know going on?

tis friday now...start of the weekend......going to be a good one weatherwise.......first one for a while.....maybe everyone has the same thought and its a question of the eary bird catches the worm........good luck on finding somewhere....

if not just take the bull by the horns and see what happens.......you have your accommodation with you........exciting eh......oohh enjoy.

You’re having a laugh aren’t you recommending any of the above places as a stopover / place to visit. Apart from the rail museum at Shildon nothing else that I can think of to recommend them unless you like visiting ex pit villages lol !

Yeah I was thinking that from that list. :scared:

I would head a bit further south if I were the OP. Get up to Upper Teesdale or the Moors near Reeth, Gunnerside, up to Tan Hill even, snow should have gone by now.

Yes, some good ideas there. We don’t normally use club sites but this new van has fancy doodads like gas/electric heating and hot water, and a microwave!
Wanted to see how good they are on either supply.
Have booked in at the adults only site at Bagby, near Thirsk. Might take the van up Sutton Bank, the old Transit auto climbed it happily in second.
