Last year a very nice couple we met and spent a few hours chatting to gave us some good tips as we were new to all this.

One tip was using towels seen by divers in swimming pools. We were shown a small plastic container with what looked like a piece of cloth in it and reassured they were brilliant.

Cut a long story short, they arrived yesterday, tried this morning and they really are superb. Incredibly absorbent and easily rung out and stored in the container.

Best of all a good deal to be had too. Postage a bit steep so we bought three.

Ooh. Might have to try that.

I'm still a fan of the microfiber towels too.

Just acted on this and ordered two for store collection.

The up side of this is that a £5 voucher is issued for use in the shop, so that cancels out the delivery charge if you want another item at some time.

Could be useful for taking the bulk of water off after a shower.

Cheers

I'm a big fan of being all wrapped up after a shower so we bought 2 huge microfibre bath sheets.
In our flimsy we replaced the curtain round the bed with these & they lived there all the time & were dry in no time at all.

I dry myself with a 50p face cloth, dry a bit- wring it out -dry a bit more.
it removes 90% of the water meaning that the final wipe down with a towel leaves the towel no more than slightly damp.

The slightly damp towel is then draped over the dog cage and is 'bone dry' (sorry!) in no time

Same method. Works great

Was just going to post the same myself. Had this idea while touring on bike limited space in panniers ment no room for normal towels. Worked every time. Only down side for me was if there was no heating in shower block you have nothing to wrap around you. Dry yourself off very quickly 😁

I started using them back in the 1990s and then discovered that Halfords sold the same thing, but larger and cheaper (though they're not as cheap as the current sale price for the Speedo towel): Halfords Easy Glide Chamois - Extra...

Thankyou

Such a good sale price that I just ordered 4. For us, the dog and the shower. Hoping they come in different colour as I don’t fancy using the dog one by mistake!

Various Colours and Sizes on Amazon here

I have been using one for last 10 years. They were not cheap to start with but its lasted and dries very quickly so well worth the money. Bit like Tilley Shirts you wash them by hand and put them on a hanger in the shower and they are dry and ready to wear in the morning and don't need ironing ..

I use microfibre too. Just don't let them touch the ground or use like a beach towel.

Towels arrived today for store pick up, £5 voucher printed at checkout (valid in store for two years) and new Karrimor sandals bought for the boss with the voucher off and already half price in the sale. So, thanks for the heads up Tim.

Cheers
