So where do i go next weekend ?
Should i go to Dartmouth, Plymouth, Hayle.
Or Wales somewhere like Milford Haven.
I just cant decide

HELP !

well s/wales is fantastic at the moment the weather is great, i had a walk down to the beach near us yesterday and the water was quite ok to go in . but your other choices of a weekend away are just as nice .i am quite lucky i only live a mile or two from a great beach and a nature reserve at kenfig ,we get quite a few surfers in the area ,and according to some of the locals, amongst the rock pools there are lobsters to be had if you can catch them have a great time wherever you go

Hi Stormywalters,

A lot depends where you have been before and if you like crowds or not. I would not go as far as Milford Haven, why not start at Barry and work your way along the south wales coast. Its a lot like the west country but without the crowds.

great idea . start at cold knapp at barry you can stay there a night or two then to ogmore by sea follow the coast road you can even stay a few hours at kenfig nature reserve near us then up to the mumbles stay on knab rock car park a night then wonder up to worms head stay a few hours then back to mumbes and home ,great few days only thing is if you intend to stay or even find a parking place in mumbles make it late night or rather early in the morn it will get full especialy at holliday times .there are some realy nice bays between mumbles and worms head but be warned some of the so called A roads down here are rather narrow especialy round by caswell bay but its worth the trouble p.s i have seen vans overnight on the car park at caswell . there is a fantastic wooded walk at caswell and there is a hippy eco village in the woods verrrry different, but beware its easy to get lost there in the wood ,we did and ended on a road we did not know where we were and having to get a lift by a passing local back to the carpark .

Go to North Devon we were there a few weeks back and love it.We love it so much we plan to buy a house there to live/rent out before fulltiming.Lovely place

Thank you

Look`s like we`ll be going to the west country. Probably Torquay area for 3 nights and Bridport sunday night on the way home.
We`ve got friends that have a farm at Bridport and our daughter wants pop down on sunday for a visit. We`ve got a new grandson that needs introducing to some moo cows and sheepsis and ducks and Walt the alpaca.
I`ve noted down all the places you have suggested and will definitely visit them in the near future. I think i`ve got a date with someone in Ikea next time i`m in Wales ;)
Thank you for all the info.
Come to sunny Hayling sometime and catch some rays.
Cheers...............Stormy
